Otago Innovation is the commercialisation company owned by the University of Otago, Dunedin New Zealand. Together with a New Zealand venture capital company, we are currently working on commercialising technology from the laser physics group in the University. The manufacturing plan for the first technology requires a number of optical components to be sourced from potential suppliers. In the short-term (6 months) we will require small quantities to complete prototyping. In the longer term (12-18 months) we will be placing orders for several thousand units (up to 10,000).
